About me

I was born and raised in Vorarlberg. In 2000 I moved to Vienna, where I was working in the fashion and advertising industry for several years.

The love of movement and being in my body started during my early childhood. I remember ballet and jazz dance classes in the studio of my school friend´s father. Several years later I discovered yoga and to be honest it wasn’t love on first sight. Not until I was invited to a private class by a friend, where I experienced this special aha-moment. My yoga journey began. From its beginnings as a way to keep my body fit and in shape I realized soon that yoga offers way more than a visit to the gym. It might be the combination of physical, mental and spiritual elements that make this practice one of a kind.

For two and a half years I was practicing and studying Ashtanga-Vinyasa Yoga with James de Maria during my stay on Ibiza. In London I did the “200h Positive Psychology inspired Vinyasa Flow” teacher training with Mercedes Sieff. This was followed by several trainings with international renown teachers like Nevine Michaan, Abbie Galvin, Bryan Kest, Elena Brower, Ally Bogard, Dages Juvelier Keates and many more. In May 2021 I finished my 200hours Katonah Yoga Training.

my teaching

My practice is influenced by different Yoga Styles like Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and mainly by the innovative theory of Katonah Yoga.

In times of constant overstimulation and information overload it is my desire to offer a protected space to my students that allows them to hide the many distractions and excitements of modern life for a while. I attach importance on precise alignment of the body, we play with metaphors and work with the geometry of our bodies. My teaching is highly inspired by Nevine Michaan´s profound method and blessed to infuse the Katonah Yoga framework into my classes. The language is full of metaphors and lends a sense of poetry and lightness to the practice.

Strengthening the body and calming the mind these are the basic values of Yoga. My desire is to increase awareness of more refinement. Refinement of body consciousness just like a refined perception of the environment and therefore a more careful handling of others. Yoga is a constant journey to oneself, that gives strength and ease and therefore brings joy into peoples life. And that is probably the greatest gift. I teach in English and German.
